Roasted Chickpeas

 

I do a lot of mindless eating while I sit at my desk.  There is no way I can stop this so I have decided that I can make the situation a little bit better by creating a homemade healthy snack of roasted chickpeas.  Chickpeas or garbanzo beans are high in fiber which means that when consumed you will usually feel fuller and  feel more satisfied during the day.  They also have been shown to regular blood sugar and insulin levels.

For my recipe, I used Steamy Kitchen‘s technique of drying and roasting chickpeas but added my own light seasoning of cracked black pepper, garlic powder, sea salt and parmesan cheese.

Diagnosis? Delicious!
